GLITCH

Brazil & The Netherlands

2017 - 2020

Glitch was a playful fashion brand born in São Paulo, blending bold accessories, street culture, and a fearless sense of style

After nearly five years at Lojas Renner, one of Brazil’s largest fashion retailers, I felt the urge to create something of my own. The spark came during a sabbatical summer in Europe in 2016, when I noticed the comeback of one of fashion’s most infamous items - the fanny pack. By the end of that year, together with João Junior, we began developing products, sourcing from local suppliers, and in early 2017 launched Glitch: an unpretentious project that started with just an Instagram and a website.

The first capsule collection quickly became a hit, and from fanny packs the brand grew into designing bags, backpacks, and clothing. As co-owner of an emerging label, I wore many hats: product designer, creative director, and brand strategist. From concept moodboards and material sourcing to sample development, photoshoots, campaigns, and social media, I oversaw both the creative vision and commercial strategy.

After moving to the Netherlands in 2018, I continued pushing the brand forward - selling at festivals such as Georgie’s, Milkshake, and Lowlands, and also at The Maker Store in Amsterdam. But running a business with operations still based in Brazil proved increasingly difficult, and with the onset of the pandemic in 2020, the brand came to a natural close.

The years with Glitch were an intense mix of fun, hard work, and learning. I learned to navigate daily challenges, adapt to uncertainty, and find inspiration while running a small independent label. Looking back, I’m proud of the collections we created, the campaigns we produced, and above all the incredible community of talented friends and collaborators who poured their energy and creativity into Glitch.

Here below, you’ll find a selection of our collections and creative journey.

Special Mentions & Credits

It feels almost impossible to give credit to everyone who contributed to Glitch, but a few names must be mentioned. Fernanda Reis Machado, who shaped our brand identity and designed countless graphic elements. My brother, Bruno Sandini, whose photography defined the look and feel of many of our campaigns. Felipe Ramirez, whose makeup artistry brought depth and character to our visuals. Thais Pantaleão, my right and left hand through nearly everything. And my partner João Junior, who joined me in this crazy adventure from the very start.

To all of you - and to everyone else I may have forgotten to name - thank you from the heart.
