I’m a Brazilian-born designer and researcher based in Amsterdam. My work sits at the intersection of material innovation, fashion, sustainability, and speculative design. I move between the worlds of industry and experimentation — working simultaneously as a fashion buyer, independent designer, and educator. This dual perspective allows me to engage with both commercial realities and future-facing design with equal fluency.
After graduating in Business Administration from the University of São Paulo (USP), I joined Lojas Renner — one of Brazil’s largest fashion retailers — as a trainee, and quickly progressed into a role as Buyer and Product Manager. In 2016, I founded Glitch, an independent accessories label known for its bold creative direction and collaborative spirit.
In 2018, love brought me to the Netherlands. While continuing to run my brand, I began shifting toward a more research-oriented, community-driven, and innovative design practice — first by attending the Fabricademy course at Waag’s TextileLab in Amsterdam, and later by joining their team as a designer and concept developer on research projects, as well as a local instructor for the Fabricademy program. Alongside this, I’ve nurtured a deep personal passion for learning how things are made — whether designing and hand-crafting my own wedding invitations and decorations, creating games for my son, or making ink from indigo plants I grow in my garden. This instinct for hands-on experimentation runs through both my professional and personal life.
More recently, I’ve returned to the fashion industry part-time, working as a Buyer at WE Fashion, while continuing to develop my independent research practice and starting a Design Master at Willem de Kooning Academy (WDKA) in Rotterdam. This balance allows me to stay grounded in both the creative and commercial sides of the fashion system.
My design approach is rooted in curiosity, critical thinking, and care. I’m particularly drawn to the materiality of design — color, texture, form — but equally to the systems, politics, and stories that shape them. My recent work explores bio-based materials, regenerative systems, and indigenous knowledge, with a focus on developing non-colonial methodologies grounded in collaboration, sustainability, and transparency.
I’ve contributed to projects funded by the European Commission and the Dutch Creative Industries Fund, including Reflow, Shemakes, and Local Color. I also develop my own independent initiatives such as Ephemeral Fashion Lab, MANI, and Materia Futura — each of which you can explore in more detail on the Projects page.
Alongside my studio work, I teach and lead workshops on natural dyes, bioplastics, and speculative design. Whether I’m working with textiles, spreadsheets, storytelling, or soil, I’m guided by a deep commitment to sustainable futures and respectful, collaborative innovation.
